Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Preview
Abraham Lincoln lived a secret life before and after becoming the 16th President of the United States. Since the death of his mother by a vampire, he is dedicated to slay the blood-sucking undead who are intent to take over the United States of America. The movie is based on the 2010 mashup novel of the same name and scheduled to be released on the 21st of June. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the bloodthirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.
Linkin Park’s close-out track “POWERLESS”, taken from their new album LIVING THINGS due for release on June 26th, will be featured in the end credits for the movie Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter which opens to theaters this thursday. Timur Bekmambetov, the director of the movie tweeted about working with Linkin Park in Berlin earlier this month to film a video, which up until this point was unknown as to what it was exactly but can now be confirmed as a performance video for the featured song.
This performance video is simply a great way to get Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Linkin Park some joint promotion with their respective releases just around the corner.
