CELEBRITY STUDDED DANCE EVENT DANCE2LAX ADDS ALL STAR BLAKE MCGRATH TO ITS LINE-UP

Dance2LAX, an electrifying dance event open to all dance lovers, beginners and professionals alike, boasts a new addition to its star studded line-up: Blake McGrath, recording artist as well as choreographer and lead dancer for Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson and more. Dance2LAX takes place for the first time in the Middle East on May 25 at ‘The Venue,’ Downtown Dubai.

Dance2LAX includes a full day workshop featuring five classes by celebrity choreographers Blake McGrath, Laurie-Ann Gibson (Lady Gaga; The Dance Scene), Gil Duldulao (Janet Jackson; Nicki Minaj), Kenny Wormald (dancing and acting star of Footloose 2011) and, as host and special teacher, Carmit Bachar from the original Pussycat Dolls.

The evening part of the event, Dance2LAX LIVE!, offers a live showcase in association with the Sharmila Dance as well as a special performance by international R&B sensation Shontelle and guest DJs.

Previously announced star choreographer Brian Friedman had to withdraw from the event due to a sudden obligation. “I was very much looking forward to visiting Dubai for the Dance2LAX performance workshop this month,” said Friedman. “Unfortunately due to unforeseen and unexpected circumstances I am no longer able to go, however I have enlisted all-star Blake McGrath who is not only an amazing choreographer and dancer but also an incredible recording artist – I know Dubai will love him! I can only hope this wonderful opportunity presents itself to me again very soon.”

Dancers all across the UAE and beyond and spectators can purchase tickets online at www.dance2lax.com/dubai. Full day workshop passes are AED 799 each, which includes one free pass to the Dance2LAX LIVE! showcase. Dance2LAX LIVE! tickets are AED 139 each, this includes access to the showcase and Shontelle’s special performance.
