Dexter Season 3 Summary

The Season starts with Rita Revealing that she is Pregnant with Dexter’s baby and they plan to get married. Meanwhile a serial Killer ‘the Skinner’ is on the lose and Dexter takes it upon him to get on his trail. Dexter stalks a drug dealer ‘Feebo’ as the culprit behind the Skinner kills and on his quest he kills an unintended victim who turns out to be Oscar Prado, brother of Miguel Prado (Jimmy Smits), a prominent assistant district attorney. Miguel alongside Miami Metro and Dexter soon begins investigation on this murder. After clearing himself off Oscar’s murder Dexter finds and kills Feebo but Miguel catches him in the act. Dexter finds out that Feebo wasn’t the actual Skinner and continues on the hunt.

Dexter convinces Miguel that he had figured out that Feebo killed Oscar and attacked Dexter and Dexter only acted in defense. Since Dexter killed Oscars alleged killer, Miguel promises to conceal the information related to Feebos death and the duo become good friends. As they go on their merry way Miguel figures out that Dexter Killed off a competitor that Miguel had complained about and offers to help in Dexter in his method of fighting crime. Dexter begins to trust Miguel and recognizes him as his first and only best friend.

The Deceit

After learning Dexter’s ways Miguel goes on to kill an old courtroom adversary, Dexter finds out about this and figures out that Miguel had just used Dexter to get rid of his competition. Dexter eventually realizes that Miguel cannot be allowed to run loose any longer, at which point Dexter decides to kill him and make it look like The Skinner did it. Meanwhile though Dexter’s plan takes a hit when the Skinner is captured. However, Miguel is at a position when he doesn’t need Dexter anymore and uses his position to free the Skinner and help kill Dexter.

With this short window of opportunity, Dexter gets hold of Miguel and kills just as the Skinner would just as he had planned. The Skinner is not done yet though and he captures Dexter after a huge struggle Dexter is able to fend off the Skinner and kills him, making it look like suicide.

The season ends with Dexter’s and Rita’s wedding…
