Fashion for the End of the World! Fall / Winter 2012 Collection!
Ready or not, fall is here! And soon, winter will be knocking on our doors as well. As the weather changes, so does fashion and we observe this change in the mall displays, magazines and the runaway and the apparent END OF THE WORLD. This season, though- get ready to spoil yourself for choice when it comes to shopping and planning for your wardrobe because whether your style is feminine, classic or bold, this season’s trends have no boundaries. So, before you start reconstructing your wardrobe, let us show you some of the hottest trends for this fall 2012/winter 2013 season. In addition to the monochrome trend, this collection includes a range of expensive-looking colors- with mustard gold, emerald green, oxblood red and cobalt as the main pallet. However, a dash of fuchsia, berry red and turquoise is always welcome to brighten things up.
So here is our lineup for what’s hot, whether or not the World ends on 21/12/12..
Fall/ Winter 2012-2013 Fashion Trend #1: Leather
Leather never goes out of style, especially with the colder seasons approaching. Personally, this is my favorite trend because you can play around with different colors of leather, or just stick to black leather. You can try leather skirts, leather dresses, leather coats, trousers and suits, leather jackets or even leather gloves. This trend was shown by a lot of designers including Givenchy, Alexander Wang and Versace.
This leather outfit from Alexander Wang.. would give you that Resident Evil meets stylish Ninja look!
Fall/ Winter 2012-2013 Fashion Trend #2: Oriental Fashion
Many designers looked to the East for inspiration for this season-this has included Jason Wu, Osman and Zac Posen. The main use of luxurious fabrics and vibrant prints has helped making this trend quite popular. For accessories, you can update your wardrobe with sashes and obi belts.
This oriental dress would be great for going out in style! Although you may not be able to run very far!
Fall/ Winter 2012-2013 Fashion Trend #3: Military
Victoria Beckham, Gucci and many other designers brought out a strong military theme in their collection. Keeping their ladylike silhouettes, the military accents remained to emphasize on the strength and sharpness of the look. Not only does this look include military-styled jackets and long coats- which are great statement pieces, but it also includes combat boots and camouflage pants. To add a feminine factor, rock the look with red lips, colored nails or tiny jewelry.
Fall/ Winter 2012-2013 Fashion Trend #4: Oversize
I adore this trend! What’s easier than throwing on a cozy oversized sweater, leggings and boots and heading out the door? Whether you’re craving for a stylish or a comfy look, an oversized piece of clothing is a necessity. This season, oversized knit sweaters, jackets, tops and pants were shown on the catwalk from designers such as Chloe, Balenciaga and Max Mara. And don’t forget to emphasize your shape with the help of proportions- an oversized top or jacket should be balanced out by cigarette pants while baggy trousers should be paired with fitted tops.
Fall/ Winter 2012-2013 Fashion Trend #5: Plaid/Tartan
Plaid has gracefully transitioned itself from summer to fall and we’re able to spot plenty of them on the catwalks. Even though they’re not the star of the season, they’re easy to style and versatile as ever, especially when layering the fabric with other pieces of clothing. For more inspiration, look at the Ralph Lauren, Michael Kor and Alexander McQueen collections.
So as you can see, the fall/ winter 2012-2013 fashion trends are amazingly versatile and have something or the other to satisfy any style need. Whether you’re trying to make a statement, tap into your masculine side, or even get in touch with your feminine side, there’s surely a fall/winter fashion trend which you can incorporate into your daily life while keeping your style intact.
