FIFA Interactive World Cup tackles its way to the Middle East
Qualifying rounds to start March 1st
Electronic Arts; the leading global video game publishing house, and Sony PlayStation, along with FIFA are proud to bring to the Middle East the 2012 FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC), the largest virtual football tournament in the world.
Players from around the Middle East will compete for a spot in the international finals, that will see crowning the world’s greatest EA SPORTS™ FIFA player. The champion will receive incredible prizes including USD 20,000 and a trip to the FIFA Ballon d’Or Gala. Almost 900,000 players from around the world took part in the 2011 edition of the tournament, and battled it out online and at live qualification events held all over the world. With the 8th FIFA Interactive World Cup kicking off very soon, here’s the Middle East’s chance to get involved.
The live qualifying events will be held in the following countries and venues:
- March 1st and 2nd 2012:
- Kuwait – X-cite by Alghanim Electronics Store, Avenues Mall
- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – PlayStation World in Riyadh
- Bahrain – Sharaf DG Citi Centre
- Lebanon – Sony World Showrooms in Asharfieh, Dbayek and Beirut Souks
- Qatar – Lagoona Mall
March 8th 2012:
UAE – PlayNation Mirdiff City Centre.
The final regional event which will crown the Middle East’s representative and fly them out to the international rounds will take place on March 9th 2012 in United Arab Emirates, in PlayNation Mirdiff City Centre.
