The WWE is coming to Abu Dhabi for the first time and we couldn’t be more excited. We tried to pull all strings to meet and interview as many superstars as possible. In a previous interview with the Miz, we spoke about how the superstar came from nothing to claim himself, ‘the king of awesomness’.

This time Tarun Shyam caught up with WWE Superstar John Cena to have a quick chat and bring you all the details… about exactly what’s in store. Here’s the interview..

Uth: John, you have a crazy travel schedule with shows all throughout the year. How do you manage to stay on the road for such a long time and manage to stay fit/healthy and grounded?

John Cena: Time management is the key. Although it seems hectic, as long as you manage your time properly you can get everything done.

Uth: Wrestlemania is often called the Superbowl of wrestling. Aside from wrestlemania, what is your favorite PPV to perform in?

John Cena: That is a tough question. You’re right, Westlemania is the Superbowl but each PPV is equally important. The big four (WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and Survivor Series) are always important to me but the themed events have been getting better each year. Each event has its own aura around it so it’s very difficult to choose.

Uth: John, you have had an amazing career so far. With movies being a part of it, what can we expect next?

John Cena: I have no idea what’s next, I’m not finished yet!

Uth: You are clearly a very impressive athlete with an amazing work ethic who lives to entertain people, does it annoy you when you have ignorant people asking you if WWE is fake?

John Cena: What we do is entertainment. They wouldn’t go to Tom Cruise and ask if his movies are fake. We provide entertainment. I would rather someone tell me I am not entertaining than ask if what we do is fake.

Uth: John, In an interview with About.com you said that you took wrestling as an elective in college. What does it take for someone to come in and dominate like you did?

John Cena: I would say luck and preparation. I didn’t dominate WWE when I first started, it was a slow process. I wasn’t labelled the golden child from day one, it’s been a very long road.

Uth: WWE has always been really popular in the Middle East. Why do you think it took so long for Vince McMahon to finally bring the product over to a place like UAE, even though it has always been a popular tourist spot for Americans?

John Cena: We wanted to do it right. There is an expectation and WWE has a reputation to deliver the best show we possibly can when we perform in a new part of the world. We wanted to deliver Abu Dhabi with the best product we could. Also it’s very difficult to make the travel work as we are constantly touring throughout the year.

Uth: Tell us of your favorite hang out spot or one place you would like to visit in the UAE.

John Cena: Ferrari World, I’m a huge car guy, I cannot wait to see it. I hear there is also unbelievable golf which I’d like to sample and I’m looking forward to seeing what the gym facilities are like.

So, what do you think?? Are you going to sit and wait at Ferrari World until you see John Cena or will you try to make it to the event?? But wait, there’s more.. We at UthMag are giving you a chance to win tickets to see them live in action and even some meet and greets... all you have to do is share this article… that’s it!

Correct me if i am wrong but in the fourth question of the interview, the line which reads ” i would rather someone tell me……” shouldn’t it be ” i would rather HAVE someone tell me…..”
