The cast consisting of big names including, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson, produced by Kevin Feige and written and directed by Joss Whedon makes for a dream team on its own.
You don't wanna mess with them!
I was really skeptical about this movie when I heard about it at first until I actually saw the trailer, now I am just extremely excited. Joss Whedon is a great writer and I think he is going to do a really good job with the film and if nothing else it’s going to have fantastic character interaction as Joss is amazing with that, demonstrated in his earlier work in the X-men (2000). At bare minimum it’s going to be very entertaining that’s for sure courtesy of a great cast, iconic characters coupled with action and spectacular special effects, when Marvel’s The Avengers assemble this May. As we wait let’s get acquainted with the main characters…
Nick Fury
Played on screen, by Samuel L. Jackson, Nick Fury is the legendary Director of international peacekeeping organization S.H.E.I.L.D., which essentially is humanity’s first line of defense against the world’s biggest threats. When S.H.I.E.L.D. becomes aware of an evil that threatens global safety, Fury sets off to assemble a group of remarkable people, the planet’s most powerful beings, to combine forces so they could fight the battle, known as the Avengers.
Iron Man
Portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., Tony Stark is an eccentric genius, a billionaire, a playboy and a philanthropist. He gets kidnapped by a terrorist organization who forces him to build a weapon of mass destruction. During the process he suffers a severe chest injury and is now supported by a reactor. With the help of the power from the reactor Stark creates a powered suit of armor to save his life and escape captivity. He later uses the suit to protect the world as Iron Man.
Fresh off of defeating enemies the world over, stark reluctantly agreed to serve as a consultant to Nick Fury’s agency, S.H.E.I.L.D. Now, with global crisis on the horizon and the fate of the world in the balance, Stark must again power up his Iron Man armor to save the world, and become a fully-fledged member of the Avengers.
Captain America

His amazing feats during the WWII which saw him become a living legend. Rogers saved New York City and turned the tide of war, but during his final mission, crashed into the Arctic. As he wakes up in the modern day, Steve learns that he had spent decades frozen in the icy tundra.
The world has changed and Steve Rogers finds himself alone as he tries to fit into the world he seldom recognizes. However, when Nick Fury calls on Rogers to help him save the world, he quickly suits up as Captain America. With his no-nonsense attitude, strength and Leadership skills, Captain America wielding his iconic shield heads up to possibly lead the team of the Avengers.
Bruce Banner/The Hulk
Portrayed by Mark Ruffalo, Dr. Bruce Banner is a mild-mannered scientist who finds himself in a peculiar condition after a gamma radiation experiment goes awry. In his condition, if aggravated, he would transform into an uncontainable, green-skinned monster known as the Hulk. Fearful of the damage he could cause to the people close to him and trying to avoid those who would take advantage of him he decides to go into exile and works to cure the sick and help the poor.
Knowing full well that the unpredictability and incredible strength of Banner’s alter ego, Nick Fury decides he would be a valuable asset to the team. Knowing his character he would definitely need persuasion.

While in exile on earth, Thor learns to be humble and helps to save his friends from the destructive threat sent by his brother Loki by sacrificing himself. By doing so, Thor redeems himself in the eyes of his father, regains his powers and returns home as a hero.
