The Dark Knight Rises

Opening Credits

We have waited long, one whole month in fact, for The Dark Knight Rises to be released in the UAE. We heard a lot about the movie, but ensured that it was just enough to just build up the anticipation and not spoil the experience when we actually saw it… And now it is finally here, and it was well worth the wait. Everything we have heard from reviews all over the world is true… Its Fantastic!

The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight Rises meeting expectations…

Plot

It has been 8 years since the death of D.A. Harvey Dent and ever since there has been no sight of Batman. The Dark knight sacrificed his image by assuming the blame for Harvey’s death, deciding Harvey’s innocence was what would be essential for the greater good of Gotham. Over the eight years the plan, the Dent Act, worked and there had been no reported organised criminal activity in Gotham. However everything is soon to change.

Bruce Wayne is visited by a mysterious cat burglar but her motives seem suspicious, but its just the begining for something far worse… Down in the city’s manholes, Bane is planning an invasion of catastrophic proportions. Commissioner Gordon has a glimpse of the situation, he is held captive but manages to squeeze out… The News spreads there is a huge threat developing from within the Sewers of Gotham…

the dark knight rises Batman Vs Bane

Batman and Bane face-off…

Batman has not only been out of the scene but also broken both physically and mentally after the death of Rachel, but Commissioner Gordon and John Blake urges and inspires him to return yet again. As Batman does his research, he finds out, there is more to Bane than just a regular thug… he is vicious, ruthless, a monster, more powerful than him and might just be too much for Batman to handle in his present state…

Pulp

This film is the final Dark Knight franchise that will be directed by Christopher Nolan, and you have no idea how much it pains for me to say this. Nothing is going to prepare you for the shear size of this production, its simply huge! the cinematography, the music the sounds, the creep factor, the sheer intensity was just brilliant and the action was intense and simply huge! Not to forget Bane! I haven’t been so afraid of a villainous character ever before… The way he walked, his presence, was being in the presence of true evil… no wonder he was…. ah ah ahh… no Spoilers! :D

The movie started off on a slow note as we began from where we left off… things happening randomly and slowly slowly they fell into place. This movie though is not about Batman as much as it is about being inspired by his figure. It is about the people of Gotham and their fight for survival. Though I’d have hoped that there were more inspiring words from Batman than there was from the people around them, but as I said its about being inspired by the figure of the Batman… not what he said but what he did…

the dark knight rises Bane

Bane the main villain in the movie

My real problem with the movie though is the voices… again… Bane’s voice was too electronic… I was afraid, very afraid but I think I’d be afraid even if his voice was Human and of course Batman is there growling along… thank God he didn’t have too much to say this time around though… hehe. I know i just contradicted myself, but you’ll see when you watch the movie. All these, however, are just little things, Bane voice was meant to scare and it did… and Batman was meant to inspire and he did…

Perception

Go watch the movie… be it IMAX regular, doesn’t matter.. Just watch it… It deserves to be watched Multiple Times
