The Method: A fan’s tribute to Crystal Method!
A TRIBUTE TO THE METHOD
Quiet often I have found myself getting in debates about Electronic music with those who oppose this genre claiming that due to lack of lyrics Electronic music is a waste of talent and give no value to listeners. I have always argued this fact by shining light on great composers such as Mozart or Beethoven who wrote their masterpiece without lyrics. However, their music is still manifested as art and respected by millions even generations after generations. So how can any one disregard the makers of Electronic music placing them in the light of darkness? The simple answer is music is what alters your mind, helps you relieve tension and rest you in serenity and complete happiness. Having said that I witness Electronic music as a genre that will and already is taking a big toll in the music industry as we can find ourselves dancing to the tunes of Rhiana featuring Davind Guetta or Calvin Harris. Surely, I don’t have to list out all the current artists who are using Electronic beats as an ingredient to their music but it proves my point for those who once denied this genre and are now converts. With these words I present you one of my most favorite bands to rock this planet Crystal Method.
It was the year “97” when I got my first taste of the Crystal Method from their chart burning number 1 sensation “Busy Child” a total eargasm as I like to recall it. The kings of “Big Beat” sub genre from the Electronic music category has always proved to be absolutely creative with their talents in utilizing the right beats and sounds as they collaborate. Their masterpiece evolves from the usage of wide array of equipment, specially the Clavia Nord Lead. This American electronic music duo has been pleasing fans with their ground breaking music since “97” with albums such as Vegas, Tweekend, Legion of Boom & Divided by night. Filling up venues worldwide, sold out concerts, their music has debuted in numerous TV shows, films, video games, and advertisements.
In my opinion the Electronic music scene in the Emirates has been too commercialized with radio play that favors only the dance charts and has over shadowed the far more elaborated sub genres of Electronic music hence keeping electro guru’s like Crystal Method and other artists unnoticed. If you would like to get a feel of what I am talking about feel free to download some samples of these artists (Skrillex, Pretty Lights, Crystal Methos and more) found in this site http://regenerationmusicproject.com/#
