Dubai: AIESEC – the world’s largest student organization, today launched the activities of “YouLead Leadership Forum” at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road.

This three-day event will be held as part of ‘Careers UAE 2012’ and is dedicated to students and recent graduates of the region. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, Careers UAE brings together leading employers with skilled Emirati job seeking talent to bolster and fulfill UAE’s ‘Emiratisation’ strategy.

This is the 5^th edition of YouLead and will be held under the Patronage of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Ali Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi (aka The Green Sheikh) from the 5^th to the 7^th of March. Leadership workshops, keynote speeches by eminent speakers and a spectrum of customized sessions on practical and useful industry skills make this forum a one-of-its-kind youth-development event in the UAE.

The first and the third day are open to all proactive students, while the second day is dedicated entirely to women empowerment.

Michal Zylinski, Project Director for ‘YouLead’ Forum and Vice President of External Relations at AIESEC in the UAE said, “YouLead Leadership Forum will tackle the issues and aspirations of the youth of UAE, in addition to education and soft skills development opportunities. The event also encompasses business opportunities in the UAE and the mechanisms of enhancing youth role in opening new horizons for small and medium scale projects”.

“The event is intended to boost the spirit of leadership in UAE students, enable them to take the right decisions, discover their leading abilities and accessing students’ professional experience throughout the world”, added Michal.

Eminent speakers will be imparting skill-based knowledge on topics focused on the youth during this event, such as: The Green Sheikh himself, Delcan Ball, Middle East Director with PwC, Abdul Muttalib Al Hashimi, Managing Director of Next Level Management Consultancy, Hala Kazim, founder of Journey Through Change, Azza Suleiman, Director of Housing in the Ministry of Works in Dubai, Anas Bukhash, Managing Partner of Ahdaaf Sports Club, Bassem Berbari, Director of Emerging Markets Leadership Centre and finally, Kevin Abdulrahman, Asia’s Best Leadership Speaker and known globally as ‘The Man Inspiring Millions’.

AIESEC is the world’s largest student organization that spans over 110 countries – is an international platform for young people to discover and explore their leadership potential. AIESEC in the UAE was established in 2001 as the first AIESEC initiative in the Gulf. Since 2004, AIESEC in the UAE has been strongly supported by Dubai Knowledge Village and Dubai International Academic City as a Founder Partner of the National Office of AIESEC UAE. The current membership of the organization diversifies across many institutions of higher education.

AIESEC’s activities enable its members to develop competencies and skills in personal and professional activities, while facilitating global consciousness through AIESEC’s global learning platform.
